There was a centaur and a squirrel,
running inside my head.
I had no idea they were there,
oh, I had no idea.
So they lead me down the path.
They led me right to the snake.
She said, "Are you here for you?"
I said "Yes— are you here for me?"
And she agreed.
So, we sat up on the porch
and watched the rain come in.
And even though we couldn't see it,
We knew it was there— 'cause we could hear it,
and I didn't want it to end.
For once everything felt right—
I didn't want to leave.
For once everything felt right—
We could be who we wanted to be.
We could breathe.

'Cause I'm too proud to ask,
And you're too stubborn to offer.
At least we can say you were right.
What good does it do,
when you're six feet under ground,
And all I want to do is make you proud.
I've seen the world,—
a table at a time.
I've seen the ugliness—
it's not mine, it's not mine.
Are we the aliens?
I seen convincing evidence.
Now you've got the internet,
I'm old and irrelevant.
